Ghana head coach Otto Addo has included four uncapped players in a 26-man squad for international friendlies against Austria and Germany later this month, as the Black Stars continue preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the Ghana Football Association said.
Centre-back Derrick Luckassen, defenders Patrick Pfeiffer and Marvin Senaya, and forward Daniel Agyei are all in line to make their senior debuts.
Ghana squad includes four first-time call-ups
Luckassen plays for Pafos FC in Cyprus and came through AZ Alkmaar’s academy. He has previously featured for PSV, Hertha Berlin, Anderlecht, Kasımpaşa, Fatih Karagümrük and Maccabi Tel Aviv, and scored Pafos’ first UEFA Champions League goal earlier this season, according to Reuters.
Senaya, who made his professional debut in 2021, plays for French Ligue 1 side AJ Auxerre after spells at Strasbourg, Sochaux and Lausanne-Sport.
Agyei, a forward who can also play wide, is with Turkish club Kocaelispor. The England-born attacker previously played for Leyton Orient, Crewe Alexandra, Oxford United and Burnley before moving to Turkey.
Pfeiffer is a defender at SV Darmstadt 98 in Germany’s second tier.
